Biography

Henrietta was born 27 April 1827 in Cumberland County Virginia. [1] She was the daughter of Gross Robinson and Sarah Anderson. [2]

Henrietta was still unmarried and living with her widowed mother in Cumberland County on 27 September 1847 when she was summoned to appear for a chancery court case concerning the estate of her father. [3] Shortly after this court case was ended, Sally and her children left Virginia , moving to middle Tennessee. It was in Tennessee about 1848 that Henrietta married George Marchbanks.

Henrietta and George can be found in Smith County, Tennessee at the time of the 1850 census. [4] On 4 September 1856, Henrietta and George sold her interest in her father's estate to her brother William A Robinson. [5]

By the time the 1860 census was taken the family had moved to Texas, and can be found in Waxahatchie, Ellis County, Texas census records. [6]
