Biography

Arthur was born in 29 December 1875 at Morris Street, North Ormesby, Yorkshire England the only child of Elijah and Elizabeth Robinson.

On the15th August 1899 Arthur married Rose Hannah Keegan the daughter of James and Mary Keegan(nee Finneran) in Middlesbrough at St Mary’s Cathedral according to the rites and ceremonies of the Roman Catholic Church. Prior to the marriage Arthur was living at 36 Dundas Street Middlesbrough and was working as a Foreman at the Ironworks. On Christmas Eve 1901 their first child, Arthur William Robinson was born at 8 Mount Street. Sadly his wife Rose Ann became ill with Tuberculosis and on 24 November 1905 died from Pulmonary Turberculosis. In 1911 Arthur and his son Arthur William were boarding with the Johnson family of 68 Fletcher Street Middlesbrough, Yorkshire, England. The head of the household was 50 year old Thomas Mark Johnson born 1861 Hartlepool Durham living with his 46 year old wife Margaret Ann Johnson born 1865 in Middlesbrough Yorkshire. Their 15 year old single son Charles Edward Johnson living with them was a Boot Repairer. Widowed Arthur William Robinson now 36 year old was working as a Tube Welder and his 9 year old son Arthur William Robinson was a scholar. At the time of his son Arthur's marriage to Maud Alice Beatrice Vigor Arthur William was working as a pipe fitter. He passed away in 1943.
