Hobbies
Genealogy
I've always loved research and history so becoming my family's self-proclaimed historian/archivist is very rewarding and interesting to me.
My mother's Peasley line leading to Waterman and Messenger has been known to me since I was a child. It was something her aunt, Adda (Peasley) Hughes researched.
My father worked diligently at his family history and wrote a self-published book on it. His sister, my beloved aunt, Naomi Lucy (Robinson) Anderson, also had done extensive research into her and her husbands' ancestry. I've been excited to take what I've learned from them and go further with what is available online.
Research Assistance
I live in a small town in New Mexico right near the border with Colorado and right off I-25. I'm available to anyone for research assistance in my area and further afield from Raton, New Mexico, and Trinidad, Colorado if needed.
Photography
When I was little (about five, I think) my mother put me on a city bus in Portland and my big sister Naomi was at the other end to get me off and I spent part of the day at work with her at a Kodak booth. She also gave me her camera when I was about nine and since then I've been taking pictures as my health has allowed.

Legacy Notice
Digital Afterlife: In the event of my death, I would like all of the profiles for people not living that I manage alone to be changed to Open. Also, if any project pages are still just in my name, they need to be turned over to the appropriate project. Space pages that I have created can all be changed to Open. If I missed anything (and for the Red/still living profiles on my Watchlist), I ask that they are managed by Team Wiki or a WikiTree Leader at the discretion of WikiTree. Thanks! It's time for our annual Scotland Project check-in!
This year we are hoping to learn what our membership would like to accomplish over the next 12 months.
In case you aren't aware, this year is WikiTree's ""Year of Connections"" and the Project's leadership would like to contribute to this in as many ways as possible.
We would appreciate it if you would share your thoughts and ideas with us on how we can accomplish this goal. We would also appreciate it if you would provide some feedback on our existing goals, including:
If you have not yet signed up to help on one of the project's teams, which team(s) would you be interested in joining?
How often should we provide a Project Newsletter?
Have you participated in the Tartan Trail? If not, is this something you'd be interested in doing?
Do you have a question(s) that we could add to a Frequently Asked Questions page?
Any suggestions or ideas you have on ways to improve the Scotland Project in general
We continue to communicate with our Project members via Google Group (official) and Discord (unofficial), as well as G2G. You may also reach out to any of the Project leaders via WikiTree's internal messaging system at any time.
Thank you for all you do to help the Scotland Project become a knowledge hub for Scottish genealogical research! We wish you all the best in 2022!
Sincerely,
Amy Gilpin
