Firman was born on August 2, 1901, in Caledonia, Missouri.^[1] Firman was the eldest son of William T Robinson and Lucy Jane Boushon ^[2][3][4][5]

Firman as a baby

At 8, when his father died of pneumonia in 1910, had to leave school early to help to raise his five brothers and support the family.^[6] Firman would crawl in the school window at night to read, as he loved history, geography, and poetry.^[6]

At 18, Firman enlisted in the Army.^[7][8] Sometime in 1919 he was on an Outgoing Troop Transport to the Philippine Islands.^[9] In 1920 he is in Fort Kinney, Texas for the census. He was honorably discharged in 1920, then re-enlisted that same year.^[10][11]

On July 13, 1921 he is on an Outgoing Troop Transport^[12] to the Philippine Islands. He again is honorably discharged^[13] in 1923 and re-enlisted^[14] in 1924. Honorably discharged^[15] in 1927 and re-enlisted^[16][17] the same year.

On April 8th, 1928, he married Leona Catherine Budd in Oskalooska, Iowa.^{[18][19][20][21][22]}

The Three Robinson Siblings

Firman was in the Iowa National Guard, Troop K.^[27][28]

In 1936, the family moved to Washington state along with Leona's twin sister Naomi Caroline (Budd) Patten.

In 1938, Firman was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in Tacoma, Washington in an old Baptist Church being used at the time as the first Kingdom Hall in Washington State along with Norman Larson.^[6] The building had its own baptismal pool. This Kingdom Hall has been remodeled numerous times over the last sixty years.^[6]

In 1966, Leona passed away.^[6]

In 1980, Firman had a triple by-pass after which he moved to be near his wife's family in Seattle, Washington.^[6]

In 1991, Max Larson, of the governing body of the WTBTS, visited before Firman entered the hospital.^[6]

Firman died October 1, 1991 in Seattle, Washington.^{[6][30][31][4][32][33][34]}

Firman’s Memorial Service was held on October 5, 1991, at the same Kingdom Hall where he was baptized.^[6][33] All of his living descendants and their spouses were in attendance.

Firman is buried with his first wife, Leona and son, Carl at Fern Hill Cemetery in Aberdeen, Washington.^[35]
