In 1851 we find the Robinson family changed from 1841. John (44) is now identified as born in Burstwick, a carter employing 1 man, that is his son James19, and Mary is a little closer to his age (41) born in Keyingham: Richard and George have left home so that James 19, William 13 and Arthur 11 are the oldest children remaining at home: There are four young children born during the previous decade. Edward 7, Rebecca 5 (clearly the earlier Rebecca had died), Joseph 2 and baby Mary 5 months. There are also two lodgers, labourers for the Ordnance Survey preparing the first modern maps.

This Profile is one of about 3000 managed by David Horsley and mainly introduced from a GEDCOM in 2018. Unfortunately the GEDCOM stripped much of the source detail and this is being restored and the profiles formatted, which will take a couple of years at least. Please note that details from the East Riding and Hull Parish Registers are better than anything available on the internet and that while references to findmypast.com etc. may usefully be added they should not overwrite the sources and references already given.
