Biography

Sarah Rose Robinson was born in Virginia on 20 May 1817. Sarah married James Allen Wells on 2 July 1838 in Sidney, Ohio.^[1] They had 7 known children. Sarah died on 21 February 1876. She is buried at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney, Ohio.^[2]

1850: Sarah R Wells is enumerated in Sidney, Ohio. She is 35 years old and it is inferred that she lives with her husband and 5 children (ages 1 to 11).^[3]

1860: Sarah Wells is enumerated in Clinton, Ohio via the Sidney post office. She is 54 years old and it is inferred that she lives with her husband, father-in-law, and 6 children (ages 6 to 21).^[4]

1870: Sarah Wells is enumerated in Clinton, Ohio. She is 54 years old and it is inferred that she lives with her husband and 5 children (ages 10-29). She was born in Virginia. Under occupation, it lists "At School."^[5]

• There are family trees that list Sarah's parents as Abraham Robinson and Rebecca Hedges.
• Most trees list her marriage as 7 April 1838, but this is unsourced information. A record documenting 2 July 1838 exists.^[6]
