His first assignment as a pilot was to remain at Columbus as an Instructor Pilot in the T-37B. After a year at Columbus, he was selected as part of an initial cadre of instructor pilots to establish a new training program for Undergraduate Navigator Training at Mather Air Force Base, California, where he served as an instructor pilot, a flight examiner, and was certified as an Air Training Command Spin Demonstration pilot for three years. In 1977, he was assigned as an F-111 fighter pilot, going through initial upgrade training at Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico, then final training at RAF Lakenheath, England, where he served as a fighter pilot, instructor pilot, flight examiner, and supervisor of flying for over four years. In 1982, he was selected to attend the US Air Force Experimental Test Pilot School, Edwards Air Force Base, California. Upon graduation a year later, he remained at Edwards as a test pilot in the F-16, F-4, and T-38 for over three years.

Hello, Matthew. Thank you for the note. Yes, we are indeed relatives and I have been to Warren a couple times. I was the speaker at last year's Robinson reunion and I know your great-uncle Stirling very well. I had the pleasure to meet your grandfather Gary before he passed away, also. One of my nicknames is also Gary; that is what my wife calls me, and Stirling wanted us all to get together there, which we did. Hope all is well for you there in Maine.

Best Wishes,

Hi Garald

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Hi Robbie

We are so happy you decided to upgrade to the Family Member level. See this link for information: Magna Carta Project. There are requirements to join, and you have to go through the process to become a full WikiTree member.

Please visit our tutorial pages to learn how to use WikiTree: How To Use WikiTree. They will save you time, energy, and frustration as you add your family profiles.

Exploring the site is the best way to learn. One way to do that is to check out the drop-down menus on the top right side of your profile page. Finding a known ancestor and collaborating with the profile manager is another great way to start.

Questions? You can always use the G2G link in the Help Menu to find answers.

Sheryl, I thought I was signing up for the Magna Carta Project when I first clicked on "join." I upgraded to member at the same time. I must have missed something somewhere; how do I get into the project?

Thanks, Robbie

Hello! I am trying to get better information on the lineage for two of my ancestors who are listed in a book that traces their ancestors back to the Plantaganents and the Magna Carta. Their names are William Torrey and Peter Worden, Jr and Sr. That led me to the Magna Carta project, with which I would like to be associated. I am a member of GSMD, SAR, OFPA, and the Founders of Hartford (CT). I have taken four different DNA tests, two of them autosomal, one of them a Y-111 test, and one being a full genetic test. I enjoy doing genealogy research and have no problem digging into problem areas to solve problems. I do not enjoy seeing bad data being put forth on the internet, however. If you have good data on the lineage for William Torrey (b. 1608, Combe St Nicholas) and Peter Worden (b 1609, Lancashire), I would be very grateful.
