My husband is J. A. Fenstermacher. His father, who was born in Kansas, used to tell him that he was a descendant of Sir Francis Drake. I have found that Sir Francis did not have any of his own children, however, the family says that there are "Drakes" in the family tree. I believe that Bertha Robinson, the daughter of Lucinda Abigail Ensign Drake and George Lafayette Robinson, married Nathan Wesley Fenstermacher. The 1900 US Federal Census shows her living in Kansas with her husband, Nathan Fenstermacher. It states that her father was born in Massachusetts and her mother was born in New York. Bertha's birth place is Illinois about 1859. These facts line up with this Bertha Robinson. I would like to know what others think. Also, in 1870, according to the US Census, both Bertha and Nathan lived in Mercer County, Illinois
