Research Notes

There are conflicts between articles / books about this George Robinson , born abt 1657, and George Robinson born Mar 30 1658 in Boston.

NEHGS article about George Robinson of Watertown [1] states the parents are unknown for this person, wives are listed as Sarah Reed and Sarah ____, widow of Peter Behony, with children, etc. This article has footnotes on each page for all information
Historical Sketches of Early Robinson [9] states that the parents are George Robinson and Mary Bushnell, wives are Sarah Beale, Sarah Behoney (daughter of Peter and Sarah (Ball) Behoney). This book has no sources listed.
The NEHGS article includes an explanation on Page 213 about the conflict, There are 2 George Robinsons born around the same time and both had sons named George, as well as other children. One had all children born in Boston between 1680 and 1695 and the other had children born in Watertown 1683-1705, so they must be different because the children's births overlap.
Since the NEHGS article has a large number of sources, that have been verified with family search sources and included in the wiki profiles, the family lines in NEHGS articles have been followed in wiki profiles.
The 'other George' Robinson-31912 is associated with the Boston family, whose wife is Elizabeth, maiden name not known.
This George Robinson-543 is associated with the Watertown family

George Robinson II (Boston 1658-) was son of George I and Mary Bushnell. George II married c. 1680 Elizabeth __ (d. 1697) (Torrey) buried Copps Hill, and had, among others, George III (Boston 1680-Dudley 1752). George II and III both members of Ancient & Hon. Artillery Co. of Massachusetts. George Robinson of Watertown, a separate line, is the man who married Sarah, then a second Sarah. These two Robinsons should not have been conflated into one! Let's re-separate them. BTW, there is apparently a third George, of Attleborough, (d. 1699) to add to the mix; he had a son George (1656-1724) but no grandson named George.
Robinson-4190 and Robinson-543 appear to represent the same person because: same dates and parents, need to merge, then look at wives to see if there are duplicates
