Biography
Bill Robison, 86, North Manchester, Ind, passed away at 1:46 am Saturday, Sept 21, 2013, at his residence.
He was born in Fulton County, Ind, on Jan 7, 1927, to Arthur F ‘Doc’ and Valura (McIntyre) Robison. He graduated from Gilead High School and served in the United States Army from 1945 to 1947.
On Sept 25, 1950, he married Betty G Hileman. She survives.
He had been a self-employed farmer and was a truck driver. He was employed as a mechanic for several years with Kerlin Motor Co in Silver Lake, Ind, and Snyder Ford in North Manchester.
Bill was a member of the Moose Lodge, North Manchester and Congregational Christian Church.
He enjoyed coon hunting, fishing, various types of racing and traveling the western states.
He is survived by two sons, three daughters, 18 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren & a sister Sally Cole.
He was preceded by a sister: Esther Harmon; and a great-grandchild.
Visitation will take place from 1 pm to 3 pm Sunday, Sept 29, at Congregational Christian Church, 310 N Walnut St, North Manchester. Funeral services will be held at 3 pm Sunday, Sept 29, at the church. Arrangements are entrusted to McKee Mortuary, 1401 SR 114 W, North Manchester. Pastor J P Freeman will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Congregational Christian Church, 310 N Walnut St, North Manchester, IN 46962 or Visiting Nurse and Hospice, 5910 Homestead Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46814.
