Biography

Anne was born to Elzear Roche and Elisabeth Sarraire and baptized on 6 December 1684 at the Parish of St. Martin in Marseille, France.[1]

She first married Paul Masse and after he died she wed Louis Anty on 7 May 1713 in the Parish of Accoules in Marseille.[2][3]

    On this said day, after three banns, I the undersigned having discovered no impediment to the freedom of Louis Anty (now) at the mortuary of Paul Masse, the bridegroom hereunder cited, have married the said Louis Anty, son of deceased David and of deceased Genevieve Vinere, native of Beauguilleaume, diocese of Rouan, soldier in the troops of the king, resident in this town and in this parrish for fourteen years, aged thirty-three, on the one part; and Anne Roche, daughter of Elzear (Roche) and Elizabeth Sarrayre of this town of Marseilles and of our parish, widow of the said Paul Masse, aged twenty-eight years of the other part-in the presence of the father and mother of the bride and of the witnesses named as follows:Jean Anty, brother of the groom, Jean Bapte Bosques, sergeant of the troops; Pierre Rousart, also sergeant of the troops;Jean Guiot, master weaver of linen; aean Tiron, ropemaker, and Jean Bapte Gilly, sauce maker.There have also been present Messrs Francois Jacemar, priest, and Pierre Rieoux, acolyte, who have signed with the said Bosques;the others have declared not knowing how to sign.Attested by me, the undersigned (s) Bosques, Jacunar, P. Rieoux, Cardivi (officiating minister).
