Biography

H P Rochelle was born in 1833 in South Carolina, son of James Rochelle and Margaret Carne (Evans). He was a slave owner and owned slaves in 1860. He came with his family from South Carolina and settled in Bowie County, Texas.

Henry married Sarah Cordelia about 1858 there in Texas ad they had seven children. Henry passed in 1884 and was buried in State Line Cemetery, Texarkana, Miller County, Arkansas.
