Biography

Son of Daniel Rockwell.

Noah Rockwell and Anna Birge married about 1798/99 in Salisbury, Vermont. Anna, their oldest daughter, was born in Vermont in 1800. Amelia was born six years later.

Anna and Noah were living in Leicester, Addison County, Vermont by 1820. Sometime before Anna's death in 1848, Noah and Anna moved with/joined daughter Amelia, and her second husband Joel Holman, in Springville, Erie County, New York. Joel and Amelia Holman arrived in Springville about 1836 as Joel's older brother Abel had been living there for some time. Joel was a prominent citizen of the village, working as a blacksmith for many years and later owning an interest in a flour mill.

Children: Anna Rockwell Johnson and Amelia Rockwell Farrington Holman.
