Biography

Dorothy R. Hubbell of Norristown Dorothy R. Hubbell, 91, of Norristown, died on November 24, 2015 at Towne Manor East Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Wilbur L. Hubbell. She was born in Zionsville, PA on April 17, 1924 to the late Preston and Mabel (Vandermark) Rothrock. Dorothy was a loving and devoted homemaker. She also worked for Superior Tube Co. and later worked along with her husband for a janitorial service that he owned. Dorothy enjoyed gardening, cooking, and loved her animals. She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Norristown where she was very active and was involved with the Girls Friendly Club. Dorothy is survived by her granddaughter Chrissy Hubbell and husband Brian Gilroy, and a son-in-law Joseph Roscoe. She was pre-deceased by her daughter Darlene M. Roscoe, a baby stillborn Wilbur L. Hubbell, Jr., and 2 sisters Pearl Moore and Betty “Debba” Kalmbach. Relatives and friends are invited to her Memorial Service on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church, 535 Haws Avenue, Norristown, PA 19401. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. at church. Interment in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Dorothy’s name can be sent to All Saints Episcopal Church at above address. -
