Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie Rockwell Lee, 77, who died at 6:30 a.m. Sunday of a heart attack at a local infirmary following an illness of three years, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mayland Baptist Church, Mayland, Tenn.

Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will remain at Cosmopolitan Funeral Home, 2505 West End Ave., until 10 a.m. Tuesday.

A native of Putnam County, Mrs. Lee was the daughter of James and Catherine Burnett Rockwell. She had lived in Cumberland County most of her life.

Mrs. Lee was a member of the Mayland Church of Christ.

She was married to Alexander Lee, a printer, 64 years ago. He died in 1946.

Survivors include three sons, J.O. Lee, Nashville; Lester Lee, Colorado Springs, and Grady Lee, Atlanta; a daughter, Mrs. T.N. Parker, Nashville; two sisters Mrs. Margaret Sutton, Mayland, and Mrs. Della Proctor, Nashville; two brothers, Sherman Rockwell, Birmingham, and Jim Rockwell, Sand Springs, Tenn., six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Howard Sutton, Claude Nelson, Jake Bomar, Ralph Green, Robert Garrett and Robert Jones.
