Jeremiah, son of John and Hannah was born July 19, 1756, in Ridgefield, Fairfield County, Connecticut, New England[1]
Sergeant Jeremiah Rockwell served with Massachusetts Militia during the American Revolution.
Jeremiah Rockwell is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A097894.
He was a soldier in the Revolution.[2] He enlisted at Lanesborough, Mass.; applied for a pension while living in Cornwall, Vermont; and died in Brandon, New York. [3][4]
He died Aug. 28, 1852 and is buried at West Bangor Cemetery, West Bangor, Franklin, NY[5]
Note: The Rockwell Record says Jeremiah moved to Troy, Pa about 1814 and died 1817. Burial in Bangor, Maine. Where did he die?
Last payment was made on his pension in the 4th Qtr of 1852 to Burlington, Vermont. He died 27 Aug 1852.[6] Definitely Brandon, from wife's pension application.
