Biography

Grace married Arthur Palamountain in 1860. They immigrated to New Zealand in 1861 aboard the Chile. They had two children. They separated and Grace remarried. She first married John Skelton in 1869.^[1] She secondly married Alfred Taylor in 1885.^[2] She later claimed he deserted her, however, Arthur Palamountain was brought as a witness to say that the marriage was not legitimate as she already had a husband. She lost her claim.^[3]
