William Rodda was born in England.

William Rodda was born in 1818 in Carnyorth, St Just in Penwith, Cornwall, England. His parents were John Rodda (1781 - None) and Elizabeth (Berryman) Rodda (1785 - None).

William had 7 (or 8) siblings including:

William died in 1899 at the age of 81. “Probate of the Last will and Testament of William Rodda, late of Musk Creek, near Daylesford, in the colony of Victoria, farmer, deceased, may be granted to William Berryman Rodda and John Rodda, both of Musk Creek, near Daylesford aforesaid, farmers, the executors named in and appointed by the said will. Dated this 8th day of June, 1889. [The Argus, 10 June 1889] William Rodda, of Musk Creek, Daylesford, farmer, directs that his wife is to have the benefit of his estate during her life, and at her decease he further directs that the estate is to be distributed in the following manner, viz.:—To his sons. William Berryman and John, he bequeaths 98 acres of land, in equal shares, and to his daughters, Elizabeth and Ann, he bequeaths a block of land containing 40 acres, situate in the parish of Wombat. The residue of his real and personal estate he directs to be divided equally between his children aforesaid. He appoints his sons, William Berryman and John, trustees of his will. Value of real and personal estate, £2391. [Melbourne Punch, 18 July 1889]
