Philip Dale Roddey was Colonel of the 4th Alabama Cavalry and a Brigadier General in the Confederate States Army during the American Civil War. After the war, Roddey moved with his family to Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He later relocated in New York City, where he became a successful commission merchant.[1]
Husband of Margaret McGaughey. Philip passed away in 1897. Final resting place in Greenwood Cemetery, Tuscaloosa, Alabama.[2]
