DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Michael by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Michael:

I messaged the profile manager of Röder-65, Gernert-16, and she sent me back the following to my following inquiry: "Hello Linda:

I found the Find A Grave for our Johann "Hans" Adam Roeder (various spellings) . https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/119494368/johann-adam-roeder

According to this and other records, trees I see, one of his wife's and the mother of Hans Michael should be Anna Katharina Tauber Roeder BIRTH 12 Nov 1670 Bern, Verwaltungskreis Bern-Mittelland, Bern, Switzerland DEATH 19 Apr 1751 (aged 80) Emmaus, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, USA BURIAL Emmaus Moravian Cemetery Emmaus, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, USA PLOT 10N -12CR MEMORIAL ID 14443063 · (should be Anna Katharina Tauber Roeder) BIRTH 12 Nov 1670 Bern, Verwaltungskreis Bern-Mittelland, Bern, Switzerland DEATH 19 Apr 1751 Emmaus, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, USA BURIAL Emmaus Moravian Cemetery Emmaus, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, USA PLOT 10N -12CR MEMORIAL ID 14443063

Can we please adjust the mother of Röder-175 to be Tauber-1, and now as I look for her that means a merge will need to take place with the duplicate profile of her husbandJohann Adam Röder (abt.1673-bef.1746) with Roder-5 . Slight difference birth and death dates will need to be worked out. Would you like to do that first ? And or propose the merge ? Regards, Trish (adopted born Loretta Morrison

Hi Trish! I don't think this is the correct Johann Adam Roeder. The Rossman family was Lutheran when they arrived in US in the late 1880's. Johann Nicholas Roder was born a century earlier. The family lived near Jugenheim and Brandau in Hesse-Darmstadt and I would think they would die in that area. A local genealogist created this lineage many years ago from the familybooks and church records from that area. In good faith I cannot connect to that Roder family. Linda Houyouse "

Does that mean I should disconnect Röder-65 and Götz-68 as the parents of this profile Röder-175 ? What do you profile managers think ? Should the parents be adjusted to be Roder-5 and Tauber-1 as my research is showing ? Or am I missing something here ?

Regards, Trish (adopted born Loretta Morrison-4392)
