Merritt Spencer Rodgers was born on 19 May 1883 in Walsingham, Ontario, Canada, son of Arnold Delbert Rodgers (1851–1925) and Isabella Smith (1859–1889).
Merritt (21) married Lena Pearl Lemon (20) (born on 19 September 1884 in Norfolk, Ontario) on 21 December 1904 in Norfolk, Ontario.
Merritt died on 22 December 1936 in Fairfield, Brant County, Ontario, aged 53. He was buried in Fairfield Plains United Church Cemetery, Fairfield Plain, Brant County Municipality, Ontario.[1]
