Born on May 13, 1929 to John Rogers and Mabel Lillian Clark. He married Hazel M. Geary in 1947.

"J. Don Rodgers age 72 of Canton, Ohio passed away Thursday evening at the home from an apparent heart attack. Born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on May 13, 1929 he was a disabled veteran serving in World War Two with the U.S. Navy. He was a retired employee of Home Beverage Co. and was a member of the American Legion and the Eagles Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mabel Rodgers and a daughter, Nancy Stewart."^[1]
