Biography

French sculptor most famous for "The Thinker."

He was the second child of Marie Cheffer and Jean-Baptiste Rodin.

François Auguste René was born in the 12th arrondissement of Paris on 12 November 1840. He was the son of Jean Baptiste Rodin and Marie Cheffer. He married Marie Rose Beuret on 29 January 1917 in Meudon.[1] He died on 17 November 1917 in Meudon.[2]
