It looks like our common ancestor is Pierre Rodrigue and Marie Josephite Jobin-I descend from one of their son's, Edouard Rodrigue all the way down to my great grandmother Rosetta Roderick (the name changed down the line from Roderigue which was the Portuguese variation, to Roderique, and then Roderick in my line). my great grandmother was born in Maine as were her parents, but her grandparents were Canadien

this is how my tree goes: My great grandmother was Rosetta Roderick, who married Harry Dawe (who was born Henry Hood but adopted in Newfoundland). Her parents were Joseph Roderick and Sophia Cabana. Both of her parents were born in Maine, but their parents were Quebec/Canadien. Joseph's father was also a Joseph, and then it is with his parents that the name was Roderique

are you on gedmatch? I am also a Rodrigue ancestor (the name changed to Roderick in closer generations to myself). if so, my gedmatch number is A389112

Hi N I,

Thanks for volunteering to help grow our one world tree.

Please drop into our friendly Genealogist to Genealogist (G2G) forum to introduce yourself to other WikiTreers - you can access the G2G by selecting G2G Profile from your My WikiTree menu at the top right of most pages.

WikiTree can be a bit overwhelming at first, so don't hesitate to post your questions in the G2G.

Good luck with connecting your leaves and branches to our big tree,

Maryann
