Elizabeth is my grandmother and passed away when my mother was very young. She does not remember exactly when and she told me she thinks it was some kind of cancer. Elizabeth was a great cook and worked for the Kleinman family who later adopted my mother. Elizabeth used to make roses. Mum always claimed she was half-portuguese from Elizabeth's side and half-chinese from her father's side. However my DNA test does not indicate any portuguese heritage.
Elizabeth's descendants (my mother's Rodgrigues cousins) claim a Eurasian heritage.
