Biography

Juan Jose Amato Rodriguez de Montemayor was born in 1792 to Jose Cristano Rodriguez de Montemayor and Maria Ines Tamez. He was baptized on 20 May 1792 in Santiago, Nuevo Leon.[1] He married Maria Remigia Rodriguez on 2 December 1815 in Santiago.[2] They had 17 known children. He died in 1866.[3]

Research Notes

  • His death record says he was 70 years old when he died, but with the dates on his baptism record, he would've been 74.
  • He likely had 2 daughters named Maria Francisca. The first probably died in infancy or childhood, and it is unclear if the second survived past childhood.
