Orvin Jasper Roe, editor and publisher of the Eureka Post, at Eureka, South Dakota, was born on Nov. 13, 1851 at Larabee's Point, Addison Co., Vermont to Ambrose Thomas Roe and Helen Mary (Payne) Roe.[1]
He married 1) Delia M. "Dilla" Sears on Aug 21, 1872 in Benningham, Vermont.[2] There are no recorded children from this union.
He married 2) Pauline Ansmus on Nov. 27, 1895 in Winnebago, Illinois.[3] Together they became the parents of Ramona (Roe) Hunter.
He passed away on July 1, 1937 in Portland, Oregon. [4]
