Agnes Niegen[?] Roesen was born 18 Sep 1603 in Hammerstein, Lorrach, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany.[1]
She was a widow when on 15 Feb 1655 when she came before the rent controller to name trustee for her sons Peter and George, who were both of age, and guardian for her minor children, Arnold, Treinchen (Catherine), and Adelgen (Adele).[2] Reportedly Adele was the daughter of Theiss (Mathias) Bonn, Agnes' son-in-law. The parenthood of Catherine is not certain. [2] Agnes died soon after 1655.[2]
The family was Mennonite and persecuted which led to Peter and George eventually coming to North America in the 1680's.[3]

Roesen-19 and Roesen-7 appear to represent the same person because: birth years and dates are slightly different but death date is the same. They are also both married to the same person, Arnold Schumacher-134 & 251 but these are duplicate records as well. In addition, there is a son George, who is also a duplicate, Shoemaker-366 & Schumacher-141, which seems to be due to the "Americanization" of the last name (not sure how to handle that one, at some point the old name needs to convert to the new name and George seems like the spot to do it.) Please merge Roesen-19 into Roesen-7 unless there is something I am missing. Thank you!
Roesen-20 and Roesen-7 appear to represent the same person because: This was a profile left orphaned by the import of my GEDCOM, but she was the mother of Johann Peter Schumacher, a direct ancestor (9 generations), born in 1639.
