Mary was born in 1880, the daughter of Sarah Tonkin Mary married John in1905 , and they had children 5 pf which passed away as young babies , She passed away in 1951.

• Mrs. Mary Gilbert McLaren (71) died at the Hospital on Saturday. She was bórn at Wallaroo, South Australia-, but had lived here for 84 years. She is survived by a grown family ol' four, sons (Len, Don, Jack and Keith and two daughters (Mesdames J. Stoneman and F Hill). The funeral left her home, 174 Chapple Street, at 2 o'clock this afternoon for the Methodist Cemetery Fred J Potter & Son had charge of the funeral.
