Charles Wesley Rogers M/SGT, age 68 of College Park GA, died Friday Oct. 26, 2012 while in Hospice care from lingering health problems. He was born in Atlanta, GA, on Dec. 20, 1943, the son of Ira Wesley Rogers and Edna Ruth Rogers. He is survived by his father; Col. Ira Wesley Rogers, College Park, GA, sister; Betty Ann Stewart, College Park, GA, brother; Ira Edward Rogers, College Park, GA, several nieces and nephews. He attended Southwest High, Atlanta, GA, North Georgia College, Dahlonega, GA and Truitt McConnell College, Cleveland, GA. He served in the U.S. Air Force and the Army National Guard. Upon completing his Air Force tour of duty he joined the Army National Guard as a full time Technician. He retired as Master Sergeant after years of Military service. He held a private pilot license and was an Eagle Scout. Charles was a gentle son and brother. Inurnment services will be held Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 at 2:00pm at College Park Cemetery 3600 Adams St. College Park, GA 30337.
