Biography

David was born in 1900. He was the son of Albert Rogers and Sarah Davies. He died in 1995.

Dave never married. When he was old enough to work, he followed his father and worked in a coal mine. He did this for many years. When his parents moved to a farm near Camden, he followed and became a farmer. This probably occurred when his father retired from mining coal. The family eventually sold their Camden farm and bought a farm near Richmond. Dave lived there and farmed until his parents died. Then he sold the farm and moved to Windsor, Missouri. He raised vegetables from a roadside near Windsor for many years until his health gave out. He then moved to Shirkey Leisure Acres in Richmond where he lived until he died.

Dave suffered from Black Lung disease from his coal mining years. He applied for funds from the government and was awarded money for his suffering.
