Birth

Amos was born about 1728 [A] at Marshfield, Massachusetts. He was the 5th child and son of Timothy Rogers and Lydia Hatch [1].

Baptized 25 Dec 1755.

V. Amos Rogers4 (Timothy3, Timothy2, John1) was born in Marshfield about 1728; he "owned the covenant" and was baptized, December 21, 1755;

he married, December 1, 1757, Rachel Wales, daughter of Rev. Atherton and Mary [Niles] Wales, born, February 2, 1734/5 [2]; (she died, January 19, 1798.

Death

He passed away in August 1802 age 74, at Marshfield, Massachusetts and was buried in the Marshfield Hills Cemetery .

Will d. Jan'y 21, 1799, p. Sept. 6, 1802, witnessed by Nathaniel Rogers and Prince Rogers, mentioned grandsons, George Little, Edward P. Little and Amos Rogers Little; daughter, Rachel Little; grand-daughters, Persis Oakman, Polly Rogers, Rachel Rogers, Polly Oakman, Rachel Oakman and Rachel, Persis, Polly, Almira and Statira Little : Ex'or, son in law, George Little, whose son, George Little, was appointed Adm'r de bonis non in 1810.[3]

His inventory was taken on 16 September 1802 in Marshfield.[4]

A. From Merrick: No birth record has been found for Amos Rogers. His parentage has been ascertained from

the will of Timothy Rogers of Marshfield, dated 6 July 1763 and proved 27 December 1763, which mentioned Amos Rogers, as one of his children. [5]
