PLEASE JOIN MY PROJECT:Arledge Family History if you have Arledges/Aldridges/Allreds or any variation of that surname in your genealogy.
I've been doing genealogy for over 2 decades on both sides of my family, extending into the families of my husband and children. I have a ton of surnames I have interest in, including Warner, Whitesell, Arledge, Van Meter. I am currently focused mostly on the ancestors who were involved in early migrations to the American Colonies and the PGM.
I have a SubStack called Family Roots where I explore the stories of my family. I love the collaborative nature of WikiTree, and try to do the best I can to make sure a profile has all I can give it to be found by others in the future.

Jean Elizabeth Rogers was born in Des Moines, Iowa on November 7, 1962 to Patricia J. King. Her father, Richard (Dr. Dick) Rogers and her mother never married and Dick was never involved in Jean's life. After her mom died in 1973, Jean was placed with her aunt and uncle in Hubbard, Iowa in order to be close to her grandmother, and she lived with them until she graduated from high school in 1981.
After spending the summer in San Diego with her brother Mark and his wife, Jean moved back to Des Moines to attend college at Drake University. After four years, she attained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre with Directing emphasis, and a minor in English. Here she met her first husband, Kenny, who was her first director in a play he directed. They got married on June 21, 1985 and moved to New Orleans soon after for a job that Kenny had found.
In New Orleans, she divorced Ken and married Stephen M. Schnell. They had three children; Katherine Bricker (1987), Aaron Schnell (1989) and Spencer Schnell (1992). After the birth of Aaron, Jean became involved with the 1st Unitarian Church in New Orleans, and through them met a group of people who were part of the Christos Family, a commune centered around a house called TouchPoint. As a result, shortly after Spencer's birth she changed her first name to Saphyre and because of irreconcilable differences, left Stephen in 1993.
She soon after met Franklin Hasty and they joined houses about 1993. They lived together off and on until in 1996 with children in tow, Franklin and Saphyre moved to Bloomington, IL. Their only child, Mark was born in there in 1997. They lived there for another 3 years until moving to Denver, CO in 2000 shortly after getting officially married (May, 2000).
Franklin did not like living in Denver, and this along with other problems caused the couple to divorce after which he moved back to New Orleans. All four children have reached adulthood, the oldest three with partners, and are spread out doing good things across the US. Saphyre lives among the redwoods in Fortuna, California with her husband of many years, John Berry. They enjoy travel, particularly by motorcycle, and spend a great deal of their summers on 2 wheels cruising scenic highways.
Saphyre is working to move the Arledge Family History project into WikiTree to enable a new generation of researchers to access all the amazing research done by Pam Wilson and others. Please check out the Arledge Family History FSP.
Saphyre also has an active SubStack column, Family Roots where she writes about genealogy and shares family stories and photographs to go along with the genealogy done here on WikiTree.
I place the U.S. profiles I manage into the caring hands of the Wikitree Administration once I have died.

I hope you will someday be able to journey to many of these places, if not all of them.

Thanks for getting back to me. We'll miss you, but I hope you have a great time! We'll see you next time.
Best,
Robin
Thank you for adding sources to some of our PGM profiles. It would be very helpful if you added a note as to what information the source includes, or added it inline if appropriate. I have added a note to some of the entries for Samuel Stone already. Thanks.
Thank you for your contributions to the November Sourcerers Challenge! As you know, every source added to an unsourced profile improves our One Tree. Thank you for taking time from your own family history to help others.
Thank you for adding your DNA Test information to your profile on WikiTree. Your information will be propagated to the profiles of your parents and your ancestors within about 24 hours of being added. It will also propagate to the profiles of the descendants of your ancestors, so they may see your information under the heading "DNA Connections" just as you can see theirs.
Getting started with DNA outlines how to proceed to use your DNA test information on WikiTree and DNA is a link to a collection of links about WikiTree's many features involving DNA.
The DNA Connections list on your profile will provide a visual way for you to find potential relatives on WikiTree who have also added their DNA test information. Using DNA tools at sites like GEDMatch.com, if you find a relative that matches your DNA sufficiently and you have genealogical sources for the intermediate relationships, you can mark the specific parental relationships back to the most recent ancestor that you both share as "confirmed with DNA." For details, guidance, and examples of how to properly document DNA confirmations, see DNA confirmation.
To find other potential relatives, continue adding sourced profiles for other lines until you can connect on all branches. The more branches you are able to add the greater the likelihood of finding potential cousins to match with. The process of identifying which branch elements of DNA relate to will better enable you to find matches that relate to the particular branches you are researching.

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!
Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working with members of the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.
Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus. Review the project pages for special guidelines and to learn how to collaborate with the project members.
Please refer to the new recommended sources for citing Pre-1700s sources. when working on profiles of that time period.
Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.
