Biography

Ann Minerva Rogers was born in Georgia in approximately 1849. She was listed as the 11-year-old daughter of Seaborn W. Rogers on the 1860 Census, and by the name Minerva as a one-year-old on the 1850 Census. Elizabeth Bunten is listed as her mother on all Census Records, and there are multiple Georgia marriage records showing this to be the name of the woman who married Seaborn in 1848.

She first married Robert "Bob" Carter on May 3, 1866 in Henry, Alabama. Together, they would have three children before Bob's death in 1880: Alice (1875), Jessie (1877), and Charlotte (1880).

Ann would then marry Robert Brady in Worth County, Georgia on May 13, 1886. Together, they would have at least two children, Elizabeth (1887) and Henry (1889).
