John Rogers was the fourth known child of George Rogers and Elizabeth (Dadd) Rogers.^[1]

He was born about 6 June 1802 at Poplar, Middlesex, England and was baptised 25 July 1802 at the church St Dunstan and All Saints, Stepney, Middlesex.^[1]
