8 Nov 1732 "William Rogers orphan of William Rogers decd aged fourteen years in January last on the prayer of George Rogers Exor. of said decsd is by the Court bound to Edward Rogers of this County til he attains the age of twenty one years and his Master is to teach him to read and write and the Trade of a Millwright and to find and allow him sufficient and cleanly dyet lodging and apparrel and at the expiration of his servitude to pay him as is appointed by Indenture of Custome" (Lancaster Co., VA Court Order Bk.8, p.72).
