Biography
Emma was born in the Apr-Jun Quarter of 1850. She is the daughter of John Rogers and Ann Ivey.
In the 1871 Census, she is living with her father and step-mother and siblings at St Andrew in Plymouth. She lists her occupation as News Agent Assistant - that is, helping her father.
She is still living with her father in 1881, her occupation is now news agent, so presumably still working in her father's business.
(There appear to be only 2 Emma Rogers of approximately the right age in Plymouth for the 1901 Census & they aren't her. Death in 1905 may also be suspect. [1]
