There is a record for a Sgt. Abner Rogers that served in the 3rd (Few's) Georgia Militia in the War of 1812. It is not known if this is the same Abner Rogers.
He married on 9 Jan 1825 in Warren County, Georgia to Bethia Costella Smith, daughter of Capt John Taylor Smith and Sarah Baskins. He was about 36 years old. They had at least 4 children together (they may have had 2 more children, see the 1840 census record below):

Abner passed away between 1850 and 1860 (no further records were found after 1850). He would have been about 72 years old in 1860. It is not known where he is buried.
