Biography

Maria Elisabeth, daughter of Kasper Rohrmann and Maria Katharina Lubelei, was baptised on 23 June 1868 in Schönholthausen, Meschede, Westfalen, Preußen.^[1][2] Soon after this, her family migrated from Prussia to the United States and settled in central Wisconsin.

On 10 October 1888, Elizabeth married Anthony Pickarts in Springfield, Wisconsin, United States.^[3]They had at least seven children together:

1. Anton Casper Pickarts (1889-1961)
2. Charles Pickarts (1892-1969)
3. Joseph J. Pickarts (1894-1962)
4. Bernard Pickarts (1896–1981)
5. Rosalin Pickarts (1900-1956)
6. Martha Sabilla Pickarts (1902–1968)
7. Gerhard Michael Pickarts (1905-1973)

From 1900 to 1920, Elizabeth and her family continued to live in Springfield, Wisconsin.^[4][5][6][7] In 1923, the family moved to the Sauk City, Wisconsin area.^[8][9][10]

Elizabeth died on 12 April 1944 in Sauk, Wisconsin.^[11][12]
