Family #129 in the 1897 Grimm census.
1897 Grimm Census
Family records show a daughter named Louisa A, who was 20 years old when she immigrated to the United States in 1910, giving her a birth year of 1890. She is not listed with household #129 but may have been married and listed under a different surname. The only other possibility of a match is Johannes Rohlmann's sister, Amalia, whose full name may have been Louisa Amalia, or Louisa A. in later records. The problem with this potential match is that according to the 1897 census, sister Amalia was born in 1883, not 1890, and she was Johannes' sister, not his daughter.
It's possible that Johannes had a daughter who was inadvertently omitted from the census, as is documented with at least one other Grimm family. It's also possible that she was the Johannes' niece, daughter of a brother who died after 1897, and that this daughter went to live with her Uncle Johannes after her father's death. He may have been like a father to her, hence the confusion for future generations.
