Edward was born at East Lulworth, Dorset on 5 March 1815. [1] He was the youngest child of Edmund Rolls and his wife Catherine Rolls nee Bartlett.
Edward was killed in a tragic accident on the road from Shaggs to Coombe on 13 November 1829 aged 13 years 8 months. He fell from a horse but his foot got caught in the stirrup and he was dragged along the road suffering many injuries. He was buried at East Lulworth on the following Wednesday. [2]
