Jay Rome formerly of Leominster; 86 CHARLTON Jay Rome formerly of Leominster, died Sunday, January 25th at his residence in Charlton. He leaves his loving wife Natalie (Margolin) Rome, a son Andrew Rome of Brattleboro, VT, two daughters, AMY Rome of New York City and Laura Rome of Maynard, two grandsons, David and Alex Rome of Brattleboro. His brother Herbert Rome predeceased him. He was born in Gardner a son of Abraham and Lillian (Rosenberg) Rome and graduated Fitchburg High School. He was a graduate of Boston University and was the president and treasurer of H. Margolin & Co. manufacturers of women's pocket books in Fitchburg. He was a member of Congregation Agudat Achim in Leominster, past president and board of trustee member of the Fitchburg Art Museum and was on the Board of Trustee's of the Fitchburg Co-Operative Bank. He was an army veteran of WWII, having served with General George S. Patton in Europe and Africa. ROME Funeral services will be held at Congregation Agudat Achim Synagogue, 268 Washington St., Leominster. Burial will be in Agudas Achim Cemetery, Fitchburg. Memorial observance will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fitchburg Art Museum, 185 Elm St. Fitchburg, MA 01420 or to Congregation Agudat Achim, 268 Washington, Leominster, MA 01453. Perlman Funeral Home, 1026 Main St. Worcester, MA is directing the arrangements
