Biography
Edward was born on 5 Oct 1841. On 19 Feb 1843 he was baptised at Saugor, Calcutta, Bengal, the son of Edward and Cecilia Isabella Rooke.[2] He is the son of Edward Rooke and Isabella Unknown. At the time of his baptism his father was a Conductor in the Public Works Department. The family were living at Jubbulpore, Bengal. He died on 6 Mar 1912 aged 70 years. He was buried on 7 Mar at the Military Cemetery of Fort Wiliam, Bengal.[3]
