Biography
James was born in 1790. He was the son of Joseph Rooker and Hannah Newberry. He passed away in 1870. The reference is of his wife's family, but gives details of his parents and children. Newbury and Darrow are his maternal grandparents last names.
4708.Eliza (Hyde), b. 3 July 1796, at Franklin. She m. 29 June 1817, James Rooker, b. 4 March 1790, at Schodack, N.Y., son of (Joseph) Rooker, by his first wife, Hannah Newbury. They settled at Columbia, N.Y., and subsequently removed to Richfield, N.Y., where they were living in 1856. They had eight children:

. Caroline, b. 9 July, 1820, at Columbia, living with her parents in1856, unm.
. Jane Darrow, b. 2 Oct., 1823, at Columbia, m. 24 Dec., 1843, William R. Stewart, at Richfield, and settled at Geneva, Wis., in Aug., 1845, where they were living in 1856, and had three children: Anne Eliza, b. 22 Oct., 1844, d. 17 May, 1849; James Edgar, b. 27 Jan.,1849; and Ella Jane, b. 15 June,1853, d. 17 Jan., 1856.
