The youngest daughter of President Teddy Roosevelt.

She was known as "The Queen of Oyster Bay" in Long Island.

Ethel was born in 1891. She is the daughter of Theodore Roosevelt and Edith Carow. [1]

She married Dr. Richard Derby on April 4, 1913[2]

Sarah Alden Derby Gannett (died 1999), was one of Ethel Derby's children. She married, in 1941, Senator Robert T. Gannett (1917-2012) in Boston, MA. In 1946 they moved to Brattleboro, Vermont. They're survived by 3 children, Alden Gannett Taylor, Robert T. Gannett, Jr., and William B. Gannett, several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
