When Elizabeth Root was born on April 8, 1706, in Farmington, Connecticut, her father, Caleb, was 48, and her mother, Elizabeth, was 32.[1][2][3] She married Ebenezer Orvis on January 23, 1732, in her hometown. [4] They had four children in 10 years. She died on January 27, 1746, in Farmington, Connecticut, at the age of 39. [5]
