Robert married on 27th January 1884 at St Nicholas Church, Plumstead, Greenwich.[6][7]Robert Thomas Roper of full age a Labourer of Plumstead, father Robert Thomas Roper a Labourer and Mary Ann Amstead 20 spinster of Plumstead, father John Amstead a Labourer were married this day after Banns. Witnessed by Richard John x his mark and Mehitable Beacham.

1939 Register for 13 Lennox Street, Hastings, Sussex.[8][9]Robert T Roper Male widower born 25th June 1864 General Labourer. Ellen St John female born 20th July 1875 Housekeeper.

He passed away in 1949 and can be found on the Death index as Robert T Roper age 84 March 1949 at Hastings in Sussex.[10] volume 5h page 372.
