1911 jul 12 leaving Göteborg destination Grimsby England on the ship Eldorado.[8] Destination is Vilkingsburg and on the row above is a person who already lives in North America. Could be that this person is visiting Sweden and Frans follow him on his trip back[9]

1911 jul 22 arrival New York. The ship's manifest says that Frans is going to Wilkesbury, Pennsylvania where his uncle, Charles Fornander, is living.[10][11]

1917 There are two WWI Draft registration cards for Erik Gunnar Rosen, b. 29 Jul 1893 in Soderhamn, Sweden. One is in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.[16] The other -- same name, birth date and place of birth -- filled out about a week later, is in Youngstown City, Ohio.[17] In both, he has declared his intention to become an American citizen. He is single and works for Hildreth & Co, which is based in New York. He states his occupation as a "steel inspector" in one record and a "munition inspector" in the other.
1920 Allegheny, Pennsylvania with spouse Leslie J Rosene. This census also shows a brother, William C. Rosene, b. 1890 in Sweden, who immigrated in 1911, which is the same year that Frans immigrated.[20][21]
