Wilberth Samuel Rose was born on July 21, 1888 in Hyde Park, South Australia, Australia, son of William Rose (1859–1928) and Emily Ward (1864–1941)^[1].

Wilberth married Ruby Caroline Coleman (born on February 5, 1890 in North Adelaide, South Australia) in South Australia in 1911 ^[2]. Their children were:
