John was born in 1770 in Rowan, North Carolina. He was the son of Bennett Rose and Sarah Bradford. He married Elizabeth Phebe (Phoebe) RIDGE Rose in 1792 in White County, Tennessee. He died in 1851 in Sparta, White, Tennessee, having lived a long life of 81 years, and was buried at Rose Cemetery in Sparta.
His will named his wife, daughter Elizabeth and Susan to receive ____ and farming tools, gave his son Elisha B. Rose 50 dollars from a note of $300 which needed to be collected, and requested that his son Leroy Rose pay his debts. He named who he is indebted to.
